L.L. Bean Tours Lake Winnipesaukee Properties with Steve and Carol Bush, Realtors!

Friday, July 15th, 2011

On Tuesday, July 12th, two photographers from the famous L.L. Bean Company in Freeport Maine did their yearly tour with us to see properties on Lake Winnipesaukee in order to preview them for potential use in their spring 2012 catalogue. Not only were Jim and Greg, L.L. Bean photographers, delightful companions but they were also terrific ambassadors for the company that they represent.

The French President's Wolfeboro Home for 2 Weeks

The French President's Wolfeboro Home for 2 Weeks

We saw a total of 14 properties including the Springfield Point house in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire that French President, Nickolas Sarkozy, stayed at a couple of years ago. Another Springfield Point property that is currently for sale, 179 Springfield Point, was truly a showplace with all the charm and amenities of a New England lake property. The gardens and sweeping lawns of many of the properties we viewed were impressive against the backdrop of the lake.

As the day progressed we headed to Moultonborough and looked at the Swallow Boat House on the grounds of Windward Harbor.

Swallow Boathouse at Windward Harbor Lake Winnipesaukee

The history of this boathouse is rich. It was designed by Harry J. Carlson and built in 1910. It is also listed in the National Historic Register. This unique boathouse held a schooner named the Swallow for the original owners of the Kona Mansion.

After a number of stops in Moultonborough we headed to Meredith and went to 102 Veasey Shore Road, which is listed at $6,995,000. What a spectacular property with 1,250 feet of waterfront, sugar sandy beaches, a boathouse with a 1937 restored Gar Wood boat resting comfortably in its bay. Antique boats play an important part in the photo shoots for the L.L. Bean catalogues.

As Realtors of luxury real estate, it was a pleasure to share our passion for this beautiful lake and its stunning properties with photographers who have a discerning eye for New England lake front splendor.
